Chris & Rachel eloped to Paris in June. So much fun and beauty in this day…
Now normally I always start my Blogs with the couples Love Story, but on this occasion I have to start with the most amazing testimonial I’ve ever received…
Shortly after their big day I received an email from Chris & Rachel about Lesley (the wedding planner) and I.
We are very honoured to have received such amazing kind words from such a beautiful, kind and fun couple. 🙂 Thank you so much xx
Here it is:
Even though neither of us spoke the language, had ever been to France, and were 5,000 miles from home, the wedding was perfect. This is primarily due to the expertise, passion, and talent of Claire Morris and Lesley Kirk-Renaud. Lesley took all of the pressure off of us on our special day. She took care of all of the details, coordinated the timeline, and facilitated the events of the day with professionalism and ease.
Claire’s ability to give direction, enthusiasm for her craft, and immensely creative artistic vision made the experience transcendent. Her body of work speaks for itself, but what you can’t see in her work is how comfortable she makes you feel, how encouraging she is, and how indispensable her knowledge of Paris is. Claire and Lesley made our wedding, exciting, stress-free (as much as is possible), and unforgettable. Most importantly, our wedding was uniquely tailored to us, our needs, and our tastes. Not enough can be said about how important this is on your wedding day.
We cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are getting married and need a photographer/wedding planner, look no further.
THEIR FIRST LOOK
Chris & Rachel tell me their LOVE STORY!!! <3
18 months ago Rachel was living in Portland, OR and Christopher was living in Milwaukee, WI. Fate brought them together in San Francisco, CA on January 6, 2013. They had both been flown in for training at Apple headquarters California. They had the same job title, but lived 2,000 miles apart. Almost instantly, they knew that they had something special. After a mere week of work training during the day and spending time together at night, they made plans to be together. Chris flew back to Milwaukee, told his boss that he wanted to transfer, began selling his worldly possessions, and made plans to move to Portland. At the end of March, Rachel flew to Milwaukee, helped pack Chris’ remaining possessions into his small car, and they drove across the country back to Portland.
They spent 10 months in Portland, but had bigger plans in mind. Chris proposed to Rachel Christmas Eve 2013, they got job offers in Rachel’s hometown of San Francisco (the city in which they first met less than a year prior), and they were moved in by the first week of January 2014.
They knew that a traditional wedding wasn’t the answer to their unique love story. With family spread all over the United States, they decided to elope to the most romantic city in the world: Paris.
